Annual events

12 Days of Christmas

If you 're interested in intention, creative and spiritual growth and healing, then please join us in this year’s 12 Days of Christmas.

No rules, no cost. ALL welcome to participate.

Make an intuitive and creative start to the year – join us in making a commitment to create one image a day during the 12 Days of Christmas – each one relating to a calendar month in 2012 or, by expressing your own wonderful unique creativity in any other way you fancy during the 12 Days of Christmas. Open to all, we’ll use Internet ether to connect.

So we each commit to spend some time doing something which nourished soul and spirit.

Essentially this whole thing is about supporting and inspiring .
It is about connecting with this special time of the year when many consider the veils between the Worlds are thin and permeable.

Nostell Hay Meadow Labyrinth
Saturday 7 May is World Wide Labyrinth Day

We will be marking this Worldwide Celebration of Labyrinths by opening the Nostell Priory Hay Meadow Labyrinth for its third season. Join the wave of people around the world walking labyrinths for peace and goodwill.

Meet at 12.30pm in the Car Park at Nostell Priory, Doncaster Road, Wakefield WF4 1QE, to walk the Labyrinth at 1.00pm. Car park charge is £2.50 (free to National Trust members). This Labyrinth has been created for big and little people to enjoy so bring family , friends, dogs , cats and picnics – all welcome!

A 200 foot wide three circuit Labyrinth has been mown into the Hay meadow at Nostell Priory, Doncaster Road, Wakefield WF4 1QE for the third year. It will remain during the growing season so come along and walk it at different times over the summer and see it change, as different grasses and flowers come and go. It will then disappear and return to the land with the Lammas hay meadow cut at the end of July.

This year the Labyrinth is included as part of the National Trust’s ‘The Year of the Outdoors’ and will be a popular visitor attraction, with the addition of five tree stumps in the centre creating a perfect spot for picnicing, meditation and watching the world go by.

The Labyrinth was created through a collaboration of artists and land lovers; Madeleine Wuidart, Nicole Gledhill, Linda King, Tina Kerr, Ian Vincent, Tony Lawson and Alana Forest of Crossing Labyrinths in Australia.
