As an artist my life’s events and challenges have, by necessity, to be worked out through the images, which often take me by surprise as they form themselves taking on a life of their own.

I like to work intuitively and spontaneously - often having to brood for a long time before an image is finally birthed. The simple techniques of monotypes and lino printing provide a vibrant media that suits my personality and style.

My artwork must express who I am, what moves my spirit either in leaps of joy or to tears of pain. The images come from the deepest, darkest and lightest place in me - in that sense they spring from the depths of my subconscious where metaphor, symbolism and archetypal imagery reside; in that Universal place we are all connected. So for me, the artist’s voice is not merely an individual song but has a resonance with the Universal.
